Susaimuthu, aged 64, was found on the streets of Puducherry in a fragile state of health. After a family separation, he has lived without a home for twelve years, working as a daily laborer in different places. In recent months, his health declined severely—he became immobile, unable to walk or care for himself. He recalls injuring his back, which left him lying near Muruga Theatre signal for many days, surviving only on the kindness of passersby.
Two days ago, during a field visit, Mr. Joshi Anumuthu, Director of Snehan Home, discovered him suffering without medical help or basic necessities. With no address or identity proof, Susaimuthu was left completely vulnerable.
On 23rd July, with the support of D‑Nager Police Station, Snehan Home rescued him and brought him to safety. He is now receiving medical care, nutritious food, hygiene support, and shelter. We believe that with time and care, he will recover and stand on his own again.
