Snehan: Saving lives & Restoring Dignity

Snehan, based in Puducherry, is a compassionate NGO dedicated to uplifting the lives of the homeless, abandoned, and helpless. Its mission is to restore dignity to those who have been forgotten by society. Through Snehan Home, the organization provides shelter, food, medical care, and emotional support to destitute adults who often struggle for survival on the streets. By offering patient care assistance, counseling, and skill-based training, Snehan not only saves lives but also helps individuals regain confidence and purpose. Beyond immediate relief, Snehan envisions long-term transformation. The NGO is working toward establishing Snehan Gramam, a self-sustaining rehabilitation village. This project aims to empower marginalized adults and women by equipping them with vocational skills such as tailoring, bag-making, and eco-friendly crafts. The goal is to create sustainable livelihoods that reduce dependency and foster independence. Snehan Gramam will serve as a model of holistic rehabilitation—combining shelter, healthcare, skill development, and community living. In doing so, Snehan seeks not just to rescue lives but to rebuild them with dignity, hope, and sustainability, ensuring that every individual has the chance to live meaningfully and contribute to society

Snehan Home

Snehan Home offers dignity, care, and healing to abandoned elderly and sick, transforming lives through compassion, medical support, and love.

Snehan Outreach

4 days a week, Snehan volunteers fetch flask full of tea, bread, and lunch packs, for the old & sick who lives on the street of Pondicherry

Earn with Dignity

It's a livelihood project for the able unemployed homeless adults. Snehan motivated homeless are working in the tea stalls, hotels and shops.

Tailoring

Snehan Tailoring equips marginalized women with stitching skills, fostering financial independence, dignity, and sustainable livelihood.
