Mr. Stalin, a 55-year-old man, was admitted to Snehan Home on 26 October 2026 after being rescued from the streets through the compassionate efforts of a kind-hearted woman named Subashini.
Stalin’s life took a tragic turn following the loss of his wife and son. Originally from Nagercoil, he found himself without anyone willing or able to support him in his hometown. Seeking a fresh start and a means of survival, he came to Pondicherry, while his 76-year-old mother remained in the care of relatives.
Recently, Stalin met with an accident and suffered a fractured ankle. Although he was initially taken to a hospital, his treatment could not be completed because he had no caregiver to assist him during his recovery. As a result, he was left struggling on the streets, unable to walk properly.
For few days, Ms. Subashini noticed him painfully crossing the road by dragging himself on the ground. Deeply moved by his condition, she decided to intervene and contacted Snehan Home for immediate assistance.
Snehan Home has now welcomed Stalin into its care and will stand beside him throughout his recovery journey, providing medical support, residential care, and the encouragement he needs to heal and regain hope for the future.
