Mr. V Thiyagaraj, a 65-year-old widower from Ariyalur, lost his wife to cancer. After her death, he moved to Tirupur and worked as a security guard. Unfortunately, he fell while on duty, injuring his back and leg. He was hospitalized but discharged soon after because he had no caregiver.
Thiyagaraj was left in the backyard of his son’s home, struggling during the rains. He received no proper care from his daughter-in-law, and there were constant arguments in the family. Deciding to leave, he asked his son to put him on a bus to Pondicherry.
At the bus station, Thiyagaraj couldn’t walk and was without food or medication. A passerby noticed him and called Snehan Home for help. We rescued & provided him with medical and residential care for about a month. With nutritious food and medical support, he recovered and is now able to walk. Thiyagaraj wishes to work as a security guard again and live an independent life. We wish him all the best.
