Sekar, a 55 year old man, was rushed to JIPMER hospital in a medical emergency by 108 ambulances. When admitted, he was in a deep coma, sustained only through a rice tube for many days. After tireless medical efforts, he slowly regained consciousness, though still fragile and uncertain of his condition. After 25 long days, he was brought to Snehan Home for post recovery care and residential support.
At Snehan, his struggles were met with compassion. Understanding his dire needs, the team embraced him with love and dignity. He was gently cared for, bathed daily, clothed afresh, and tended like a child with diapers. His journey began with liquid food and medicines, and gradually his strength returned. Within two weeks, his diet moved from liquid to solid, and he took his first steps again.
As days passed, Sekar shared memories of his hometown. With dedication, Snehan staff traced his village and reunited him with those he longed for.
Snehan Home rejoices in such stories, where broken lives are restored, dignity is renewed, and hope shines again. Every life saved is a reminder of their mission: to bring healing and honor to the forgotten and destitute in our society.
