Snehan Home mourns the loss of Mr. Gandhi, a 75‑year‑old man who, though he had children, was sadly neglected. He came to us in poor health through the support of Mr. Ilaiyarasan’s family. With our care, he slowly recovered, but the pain of rejection and depression left him bedridden. Later, he suffered a stroke on his right side, which took away his speech and ability to communicate. From then on, he received our care around the clock, just like a baby.

Being diabetic, he developed pressure wounds on his leg. With regular medical dressing, most healed, but one worsened over time. His condition became weaker day by day. He could no longer eat or drink, even though he wished to. On Sunday 03-05-2026, we rushed him to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute for treatment. From there, he was transferred to the Government Hospital and later to JIPMER, where he passed away during medical care on 5th of May 2026. Wit respect and dignity his body was buried.
