What began as a small spark in Anumuthu’s heart has now grown into a bright flame — Snehan Tailoring proudly celebrates its 8th anniversary. “Every act of charity begins within a person before it takes shape in the world”.
As a little boy, Anumuthu faced the harshest realities of life. After losing his father, poverty crippled his childhood. Hunger, deprivation, and the pain of being without even basic necessities marked his tender years. Yet, by a miracle, he was lifted out of misery and given the chance to grow up like any other child by Rev.Joe Arimpoor SDB.
Those struggles left a lasting mark. He never wanted to forget what he endured, and from that memory grew a deep compassion for the less fortunate. His dream was to bring dignity and value to those who felt helpless and overlooked. That dream came alive — today, Snehan’s social initiatives bring meaning and hope to many underprivileged lives in Puducherry.
On this special occasion, we offered prayers for Snehan Tailoring in its new space, joined by friends and tailors. Our staff were honored for their dedication, treated to a special lunch, and enjoyed a short outing together.
Snehan Tailoring stands tall as a pillar of our social work. Without this unit, Snehan Home would face immense challenges. It sustains our mission of saving lives and restoring dignity.
