A special homeopathy medical camp was organized at the Muthialpet Primary Health Care Center, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department – Puducherry, with a dedicated focus on geriatric care. The initiative aimed to provide holistic and side-effect-free treatment options for elderly individuals suffering from chronic and age-related ailments.
The camp witnessed an encouraging turnout, with approximately 100 senior citizens participating and receiving consultations. The event was graced by Mr. Solomon, Field Officer from the Social Welfare Department, who served as the chief guest and Dr. Dhanalakshmi.
Snehan Home was honored to be invited to this meaningful initiative, allowing our elderly residents to benefit from the services offered. Many of our inmates have long relied on allopathic (English) medicines to manage various health conditions, often leading to multiple side effects due to prolonged usage and drug interactions. This camp was an eye-opener, educating us about the potential of homeopathy in treating common ailments such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and other chronic conditions—without the burden of harsh side effects.
Several of our residents were successfully enrolled during the camp, and we are pleased to share that they will now receive ongoing homeopathic treatment for their health concerns through this center. This marks a hopeful shift toward more sustainable and gentle healing practices for our aging community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Puducherry Government and the Social Welfare Department for their unwavering commitment to the well-being of society’s most vulnerable. Their efforts in organizing free, accessible, and compassionate healthcare services truly reflect a deep sense of responsibility and care for the elderly.
