With the support of the Grand Bazer Police Station, Snehan Home rescued Mr. Annamalai, who was found in a deeply vulnerable condition. A homeless man surviving on charity, lost his wife and now has three grownup children who also live on the streets. A few months ago, he suffered a tragic fall at night, breaking his hip and losing the ability to walk. Poverty prevented his children from helping him recover, and his health steadily worsened. Struggling with alcohol addiction, he developed multiple complications that further weakened him.

In November, during continuous days of heavy rain, he was left alone on the streets without shelter. Sick and frail, he slept for many nights in the cold and wet conditions. He is diabetic, has already undergone the amputation of a toe on his right foot, and suffers from severe cataracts that have clouded 80% of his vision.

Recognizing his desperate need, Snehan Home stepped in to provide medical care and daily support. He now receives round-the-clock attention, including diapers due to loss of bladder control, nutritious meals, a clean bed, and opportunities for recreation to ease his mind. Slowly, he is regaining strength, and preparations are underway for his eye surgery to restore his sight. Under our care, Mr. Annamalai is not only receiving medical treatment but also dignity, comfort, and hope for a better tomorrow.
