A Memorable Day at Snehan Home – July 30, 2025
Month of July brought a deeply meaningful moment for us—a surprise inspection from the Social Welfare Department. For the first time, we had the honor of welcoming Deputy Director Mr. Karunanidhi and Field Officer Mr. Solomon to Snehan Home. Their presence was not just official—it was a moment of recognition for the silent, tireless work we do.
I was blessed with the opportunity to personally share our mission: how Snehan Home reaches out to the most forgotten souls in Puducherry—the sick, the dying, the ones society often overlooks. Though there are other old age homes in the region, Snehan Home stands apart. We are not just a shelter; we are a sanctuary for those who have nowhere else to turn.
I also shared our upcoming project dedicated to supporting the sick and dying in hospitals—a vision born from compassion and urgency. The officials were visibly moved. Their words of encouragement reminded us that our efforts are not in vain. They spent time speaking with our staff and beneficiaries, walking through our campus—from the living spaces to the medical and counseling rooms, each corner echoing stories of hope and healing.
We submitted all required reports, and every ounce of our dedication was acknowledged. Their appreciation reaffirmed our belief: that even in the quiet corners of society, love and dignity can thrive.
