Mr. Manickam, a homeless individual surviving solely on the kindness of strangers, was living on the streets when he was brutally attacked by a group of intoxicated men—an assault that left him with a broken knee. Following the incident, he was rescued and admitted to JIPMER Hospital, where he underwent a knee operation.
After surgery, Manickam was referred to Snehan Home for ongoing residential care and support. Over the course of two months, he received holistic care including nutritious meals and regular medication, which brought remarkable improvement to his health. With time, he regained the strength to walk again.
At his own request, and with renewed confidence, Mr. Manickam was discharged to embrace a self-reliant life. His story is a testament to the transformative impact Snehan Home has on lives abandoned by society.
